Please find our latest news, updates and specials below. 20 Years in business This year Award Plastics celebrates 20 years in business. Here is a message from the owner Ross Hall: It doesn't seem that long ago that the company first opened its doors in Stanley Street Sydenham in December 1994. A lot has happened it that time, the company has relocated 4 times during the 20 years as it grew but has always been in Sydenham. I started the company on my own with the help of my wife of course and gradually expanded as the company got established. The start-up was slow but I was supported by people I had previously know in the industry. They are still good customers and suppliers today. We acquired Framic Plastics Ltd about 2 years later. This was a well established company whose owner wanted to retire. This really changed Award Plastics as buying a business with its own products required me to take on some employees for the first time. Then about a year later I bought my first vacuuming forming machine made by a local company. As the company grew further a move was required to Coleridge Street where my longest serving employee Aaron started and is still here today. We moved into the computer age there with a purchase of a CNC router, that was a big thing in the early nineties. The company continued to expand to meet demand and so another move was needed. I built a purpose made building in Buchan Street where we moved in 2000. This move didn't last too long as demand needed more machinery and space. So after about 4 years yet another move to where we are now in Wordsworth Street. A move from here will be required probably next year so the building can be earthquake repaired, although we're not sure if we can stay in Sydenham this time. We have recently added a branch in Palmerston North after the purchase of a local company there called Plasti, this further expands our services in the North Island. Thanks to all that helped along the way and to my loyal staff (3 have been with me for over 10 years) who have made it all possible. I am looking forward to the next 10 years to see what it will bring. Magnet Glaze Sash Kits - Double Glazing

MagnetGlaze Sash is an add-on kit to MagnetGlaze itself, designed to work with Sash windows or any other window where 2 or more thermally sealed windows are an advantage.
The specially designed flexible jointing strip allows 3mm Acrylic panels to be quickly and easily removed, clipped or "parked" on each other for convenience and then quickly replaced when required.
This system is ideal for accessing one part of a Sash window for ventilation, then insulating it at night, for example, against heat loss and noise intrusion. Each Kit contains sufficient for many windows.

Double Glazing

EasyFix DIY Double Glazing solutions are cheap and easy to install products for your home.
Save hundreds on installation cost by using simple products to mount Acrylic panels to your existing window frames.
Acrylic is a better thermal insulator than glass, and is 8x stronger so is a preferred option for insulation in homes.

EasyGlaze, TrackGlaze, MagnetGlaze and MagnetGlaze Pro, can be used on both wooden AND aluminium frames.
EasyFix and SuperGlaze, are screw mounting systems and are for wooden frames only.
